First 100 Prize Draw Terms and Conditions

1. Promoter

The promoter is Compass Fuel Oils Limited, company number 06817571, whose registered office is The Fuel Depot, Leyland Road, Penwortham, Preston, England, PR1 9QP (“Compass”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

2. The promotion

Compass is offering eligible people who join the Compass Heating Oil Club the opportunity to enter a free prize draw to win one HAWKi fuel monitor.

No purchase is necessary to enter.

3. Promotional period

The promotion opens at 00:01 on 13 August 2026.

The promotion will close at the earlier of:

1. the date and time at which Compass receives 100 valid, confirmed entries; or
2. 23:59 on 31 March 2027.

If fewer than 100 valid entries have been received by 23:59 on 31 March 2027, the draw will still take place using all valid entries received before the closing date.

Entries received after the promotion has closed will not be entered into the draw.

4. Eligibility

The prize draw is open to residents of Great Britain aged 18 or over who:

• are responsible for, or ordinarily involved in managing, the heating-oil supply for a residential property;
• have access to a compatible heating-oil tank at a residential property in Great Britain;
• submit the Compass Heating Oil Club signup form during the promotional period;
• provide complete and accurate information; and
• confirm their email address by clicking the confirmation link sent by Compass.

The promotion is not open to:

• employees, directors or officers of Compass Fuel Oils Limited or any associated company;
• members of their immediate families or households;
• anyone professionally connected with the promotion; or
• trade, commercial or business customers entering in a business capacity.

Compass may request reasonable evidence of an entrant’s age, identity, address and eligibility before awarding the prize.

5. How to enter

To enter, visit the Compass Heating Oil Club page during the promotional period.

Complete and submit the signup form, agree to receive Compass Heating Oil Club emails and confirm your email address using the link sent by Compass.

An entry is complete only after the entrant has successfully confirmed their email address.

Only the first 100 valid and confirmed entries received during the promotional period will be entered into the draw, unless fewer than 100 valid entries are received by the final closing date.

There is a maximum of one entry per person and one entry per household. Duplicate entries, entries submitted using multiple email addresses or entries made on behalf of another person may be disqualified.

Automated, bulk, incomplete, fraudulent or otherwise invalid entries will not be accepted. Internet access and a valid email address are required.

6. Compass Heating Oil Club emails

Entrants join the Compass Heating Oil Club as part of the entry process and agree to receive relevant member offers, heating-oil updates and useful reminders by email.

Entrants may unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link included in every marketing email.

Unsubscribing will not remove an otherwise valid entry from the prize draw. Compass may retain the minimum information required to administer the draw, contact the winner and demonstrate that the promotion was conducted fairly.

7. The prize

There is one prize available: one HAWKi fuel monitor with a retail value of £249.

The monitor is a self-fit product. Professional installation is not included. The winner will be responsible for checking that the monitor is suitable for their heating-oil tank and for fitting it in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

The prize includes delivery to one eligible address in Great Britain.

The winner is responsible for obtaining any permission required from the property owner, landlord or other responsible person before fitting the monitor.

The prize does not include heating oil, professional installation, property alterations, tank repairs, additional equipment or any other products or services unless expressly stated.

The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable and no cash alternative is available.

If circumstances outside Compass’s reasonable control make it necessary, Compass may substitute the prize with a product of equal or greater value.

8. Winner selection

One winner will be selected at random from all valid entries received during the promotional period.

The draw will take place within seven days of the promotion closing.

The winner will be selected using a verifiably random computer process supervised by a person independent of the administration of the promotion.

9. Winner notification

Compass will contact the provisional winner using the email address and/or telephone number supplied with their entry within seven days of the draw.

The provisional winner must respond within 14 days of the first notification and provide any information reasonably required to confirm their eligibility and arrange delivery of the prize.

Compass may withdraw the prize and select another winner if the provisional winner:

• cannot be contacted;
• does not respond within 14 days;
• is found to be ineligible;
• has supplied false or inaccurate information; or
• does not provide reasonable evidence of eligibility.

The provisional winner will not be confirmed as the winner until their eligibility has been verified.

11. Winner information

Compass must either publish or make available information showing that a valid award took place.

The winner’s surname and county will be available on request by emailing sales@compassfuel.co.uk within three months of the promotion closing.

The winner may object to some or all of this information being published or made available. Compass may nevertheless be required to provide the winner’s details to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

Compass will not publish the winner’s full address, telephone number or email address.

12. Publicity

Compass may invite the winner to participate in reasonable publicity relating to the promotion, such as a photograph or announcement on the Compass website and social-media channels.

Participation in publicity is optional and will be subject to the winner’s separate agreement. Refusing publicity will not affect the winner’s entitlement to the prize.

13. Personal information

Compass will process entrants’ personal information to:

• administer the Compass Heating Oil Club;
• operate and verify the prize draw;
• contact and verify the winner;
• arrange delivery of the prize;
• prevent fraud or misuse; and
• comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations.

Marketing information will be processed in accordance with the consent given when joining the Compass Heating Oil Club. Entrants may withdraw their marketing consent at any time.

Prize-draw administration information may be retained where necessary to complete the draw, demonstrate its fair administration and meet applicable legal requirements.

Personal information will be processed in accordance with the Compass privacy policy .

14. Disqualification

Compass reserves the right to reject or disqualify an entry where it reasonably believes that:

• these terms have been breached;
• false, misleading or incomplete information has been supplied;
• an entrant has attempted to enter more than once;
• an entrant has attempted to manipulate or interfere with the entry process;
• an entry was generated automatically or submitted fraudulently; or
• accepting the entry would compromise the fair administration of the promotion.

Compass’s decision regarding eligibility and the administration of the draw is final. This does not affect an entrant’s statutory rights.

15. Technical problems

Compass is not responsible for entries that are lost, delayed, corrupted, incomplete or not successfully submitted or confirmed because of equipment failure, technical malfunction, network failure, website unavailability or any other issue outside Compass’s reasonable control.

Proof that an entrant attempted to submit or confirm an entry is not proof that Compass received a valid entry.

16. Changes or cancellation

Compass reserves the right to suspend, cancel or amend the promotion where circumstances outside its reasonable control make this unavoidable.

Any change will be made only where necessary and in a way that seeks to avoid unfairly disadvantaging existing entrants.

Details of any material change will be published on the Compass Heating Oil Club webpage.

17. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Subject to the above, Compass will not be responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable or that arise from circumstances outside its reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms affects the winner’s statutory rights relating to the prize.

18. General

By entering the prize draw, entrants confirm that they have read and agree to these terms and conditions.

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force.

Any failure or delay by Compass in enforcing these terms does not waive its right to enforce them later.

19. Governing law

These terms and conditions are governed by English law.

Entrants may bring legal proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom in which they live.
